Cell Power Point :)

Anton van Leeuwenhoek was the first to look at water under a microscope. He invented the light microscope. Robert Hooke studied cork, the dead cell of oak. The electron microscope was invented in 1940. There is two types of electron microscopes, the scanning and the transmission. The scanning electron microscope is used to see 3 dimensional objects. The transmission electron microscope is used to see what is contained within a cell. There are two basic types of cells, the prokaryotic, no membrane and the eukarytic, membrane-bound.
